Over the last year, I have been talking with people to harvest community stories about their hair as part of my African American Martbleization: An Act of Civil Disobedience series. These stories span identity, culture, ethnicity, sex, and more.

 

I invite you to sit and listen to these stories in the voices of those telling the stories. It is my hope these stories will promote understanding, increased kindness, and generosity of spirit.
